Canadian Labour Congress 30th Convention

by Baillat Studio

The 30th edition of the Canadian Labour Congress Convention was held in May 2023 at the Palais de Congrès in Montréal. Every three years, Canada’s Unions come together to celebrate the progress in the labour movement and plan strategies to build a brighter future for all workers. The theme of this year’s convention was “Canada’s Unions: Lifting Everyone Up.”

We took inspiration from the main theme of the convention to create a simple and impactful graphic approach. Building blocks are used as the main graphic ingredient to communicate lifting and positive progress, while the bold colour choice contributes vibrancy, fun and accessibility. The combination of the blocks and arrows lead the eye upwards and communicate the bright future and planning happening for Canada’s Unions in the coming years.
