Aeonik
Aeonik: a structural workhorse, crafted with mechanical detail. Conceived as a ‘neo-grotesque with a geometric skeleton’ Aeonik holds rigidity and coldness through strict perpendicular terminals: noticeably within the “a”, “t”, “f” and “j”. These are offset by the geometric nature of the “c”, “e”, “o” and “y”. Aeonik also celebrates the first collaboration between Mark Bloom and Joe Leadbeater.
Seven weights and italics ensure an eclectic use as a family. Aeonik’s characters span the Latin Extended unicode range, covering most languages written with the Latin script.
Boasting almost 700 characters, Aeonik’s OpenType features include ligatures, old-style numerals, fractions, case sensitive punctuation, symbols, shapes and arrows. Aeonik also features 11 stylistic sets – more than most type families. Features include 3 options for the “a”, “t” and “j”. There are also many different uppercase and numeral stylistic alternates to explore, entirely adjustable on the user’s requirements.
Attention to detail at large sizes makes Aeonik ideal for logotype or editorial usage, whilst its extensive family and character set makes it perfect for a timeless brand identity.
