Documan

by Displaay

Documan is semi-rounded typeface with typewriter look, but it is not monospaced typeface. Circle forms are punched into vertical stems, the terminals are diagonal and rounded. Originally was designed as bespoke typeface for the proposal of visual identity of Charta 77 Foundation and all kinds of their projects. Other significant element are unexpected serifs only on few places (e.g. “D, E, P” and etc). The typeface also includes many alternates like “r, y” with dot.

Documan shares a visual essense with great ancestors such as Typewriter (1911-12 Monotype), Courier (1955 Howard Kettler) and Letter Gothic (1956 Roger Roberson).
